History of Glacier Bay
In 900-1400 AD before Glacier Bay was a national park the Tlingit Indians where inhabiting it,the Tlingit Indian where very sucessful here and had alot of food. In 1500 AD thereRussian was a ice age it had forced the Tingit Indians to abandone there home and traditions. After the ice age in 1742 Russian hunters came to Glacier Bay they wanted sea otter fur. In 1786 the first white man had land on the outer coast which is now the Glacier Bay National Park, his name was Jean Francois when he first saw glacier bay he said " Perhaps the most extraordilary place in the world.". In 1925 Glacier Bay became a National Mounument.
